I was lucky to get out for a couple early mornings this week to get some shots around town. Sunrises on clear autumn mornings are spectacular around here. On Friday morning, as I was trying to yank open my frozen car door, I looked over to the ridge and saw that it was frozen, encrusted in ice and snow. I grabbed my camera and went out to get a few shots of this super cool view. Even during the hour that I was photographing the ridge, the ice was receding, and by the end of the day it looked completely normal again.
Apparently that was only a precursor, because as I look outside now, snow is falling at a steady rate. We’re supposed to get almost a foot by tomorrow, so it should make for some interesting “winter slams into fall” photography.
