Portland is the kind of city that you can feel pretty at home in after spending a few weeks there, especially when you keep a whirlwind schedule like we did. Activities and things, in no specific order:
Saturday Market, Oysters, Crater Lake National Park, 17 Willamette Valley Wineries, great tacos at Por Que No?, trip the the Oregon Coast (Pacific City), Dungeness Crab, Concerts – The Smashing Pumpkins, Major Lazer, Venues – Wonder Ballroom, Roseland Theater, Mississippi Studios, The Doug Fir, Hiking in the Mount Hood wilderness, good coffee, Biking through Portland, Joshua Bell with the Portland Symphony, Voodoo Donuts, French Food in the middle of Oregon wine country, The International Rose Garden, countless breweries (Amenesia being my favorite) including Widmer Brewery’s Octoberfest celebration, seeing the Pacific Ocean, walking in the West Hills through Forest Park to Pittock Mansion, Oregon Pinot Noir, Jet boat tour of the Rogue River in Southern Oregon, Thai Food, Hanging out in some cool neighborhoods like Alberta, Mississippi and Hawthorne, Vaux Swifts migration @ Chapman Elementary (for the bird lovers out there) and of course, having a beer while you get your haircut @ Bishops.
